What Pro replaces

Without Penlog, getting handwriting into Notion usually means exporting a PDF, dropping it into a page, pulling the text out, and retyping the tasks by hand. Pro does that for every page, keeps the tasks in step when you cross them off, and lets your AI assistant work from what you actually wrote.

Goodnotes starts at $11.99/year and Notability's paid plans start at $14.99/year. They cost less because they are notebooks, and very good ones. Penlog Pro is priced for what happens after you write: your pages and tasks land in Notion, crossing a task off on paper completes it there, and your AI agents can read and write to your pages. If you just need a notebook, those apps are great and cheaper. If you need your handwriting to reach the rest of your system, that is what Pro does. Why Pro is a subscription

Pro is the part of Penlog that keeps running after you put the Pencil down. Notion sync and the MCP server that answers your agents run on servers around the clock for your account. Writing by hand, reading your notation, and carrying your tasks forward do not need a subscription, so they are free.

Trial, billing, and cancelling

Both plans start with a 14-day free trial. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
Apple handles billing through your Apple ID. Penlog never sees your card.
Cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and your journal stays yours.
Refunds go through Apple. The Terms cover the details, and Support can help with anything else.
